Shlomi Mir

I am an award winning designer and developer based in Tel Aviv with a passion for human centered design, research and prototyping.

My work combines tangible and digital tools to create holistic products and experiences. I alternate between physical modeling, interface design, experimentation, and implementation. I feel equally comfortable directing physical design, hardware, or software, balancing processes and needs though all stages of the process.

I am the co-founder of Fugara Collective, a technological art collective creating experiences through large scale installations. I have also founded artccelerator.org, an art and technology accelerator helping artists create technological installations for the Israeli Midburn community.

I worked previously as the lead designer for Madatech, the Israel National Museum of Science and Technology, and in R&D developing robotic platforms that dismantle bombs.

I enjoy working with exceptional people from diverse fields. I see design as a bridge and a catalyst, connecting disciplines and initiating change: be it social, environmental, or technological.

I spend my free time hiking, tinkering, making music and building art.
